You’ve made an excellent point re music composed for beginners, its a much better idea for beginners to try songs that they are familiar with, that way they know how it should sound when played correctly, making it a whole lot easier. That’s a great list of song suggestions, might I suggest some even more recent stuff such as Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” - very popular song and very easy to learn!
